WALKER -- Howard David Frambers Jr., 60, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005, at his home on Leech Lake in Walker, Minn. He was born Nov. 24, 1943, in Wichita, Kan., to Howard and Geraldine (nee Christy) Frambers.
David graduated from Pittsburgh State University, Pittsburgh, Kan., with a degree in industrial technology. Following graduation he served our country in the Vietnam War. He achieved the rank of captain in the Army and earned three Bronze Star medals.

He started his professional career with Deere and Co. as a territory manager, and later he advanced to become a division sales manager. In 1981 he purchased and managed the John Deere dealership in Grand Forks, N.D. In 1986 he moved to Fargo, N.D., to join RDO Equipment Co. where he became senior vice president of the Midwest construction division. He then moved on to work for Brandt Holdings until he retired in 2004.
David is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Ribbel) Frambers; his mother, Geraldine; three daughters, Kimberley (Michael) Larsen, Melanie (Mike) Daniel, and Tiffany (Randy) Gameson; grandchildren, Krista and Matthew Larsen, Kailey and Hannah Daniel, and Austin and Ella Gameson; father-in-law, William (Joan) H. Ribbel; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Sr.; his brother, James; and his mother-in-law, Joanne Ribbel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker, Minn., with the Rev. Mark Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Walker, Minn. Arrangements are by Thomas-Dennis Funeral Home of Walker. Memorials preferred to Hope Lutheran Church of Walker or St. Joseph's Hospice in Park Rapids, Minn.
