The Pines at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa will be the site of the Minnesota PGA Professional Championship Monday and Tuesday.
The field of 112 golfers will include professionals such as Don Berry, Mike Barge, Dave Tentis and defending champion Jeff Sorenson.
The top eight finishers will qualify for the 2010 PGA Professional National Championship at French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind. There they will have a shot at qualifying for the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits Golf Club in Kohler, Wis.
Kvasnicka one of top 10 prospects in Northwoods
ROCHESTER - Michael Kvasnicka of the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers is ranked the third-best prospect in the Northwoods League by "Baseball America."
The catcher-outfielder batted .314 in 48 games with 19 runs, eight doubles, two home runs and 26 RBIs.
LaCrosse Loggers catcher Rob Brantly (California-Riverside) was ranked the top prospect in the league by BA. Brantly won the batting title with a .346 average while helping the Loggers claim the South Division championship.
