Scearcy-Fischer engagement announcement
Robin Scearcy and Jake Fischer announce their engagement. Parents are Jim and Lynn Scearcy, Minnetonka, Minn., and formerly of Pillager, and Peg and Doug Fischer, Parkston, S.D. An Oct. 24, 2009, wedding is being planned in Minnetonka, Minn. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Hopkins High School and graduated with a degree in psychology and Spanish from Claremont McKenna College in 2005. She completed the Teach For America program in Phoenix and currently teaches first grade at the Hiawatha Leadership Academy. Jake is a 2002 graduate of Parkston High School and graduated with a degree in sports management from the University of Minnesota in 2005. He graduated cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in May and plans to work with law and policy issues.
