Brainerd man injured in crash

BAXTER - A Brainerd man was injured after the semi-truck he was driving ran off the road and rolled into the ditch in Baxter early Saturday morning, the State Patrol reported.

Patrick Slate, 45, Brainerd, was driving northbound on Highway 371, about one-quarter mile south of the Highway 371/210 intersection at 2:35 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle ran off the road and rolled into the right side of the ditch.

Slate suffered non-life threatening injuries, including head abrasions, and was transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, the State Patrol reported.

The Baxter Police Department, Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department and Brainerd Fire Department also responded to the crash.
