ST. CLOUD - Claire Surma and Katie Southard didn't drop a game in winning their No. 3 doubles match to help the Brainerd Warriors to a 6-1 Central Lakes Conference girls' tennis victory Thursday.
Brainerd swept the doubles matches and picked up singles victories from Taylor Headlee, Mikinzee Salo and Courtney Tusler to improve to 2-0 overall.
"Taylor Headlee had the match of the day with strong, controlled play in a tough match dominating 6-2, 6-2," said Brainerd head coach Marnie Whalen. "She demonstrated exceptional maturity and poise (Thursday)."
