LITTLE FALLS - "Seven Steps To Stepfamily Success" will be presented at Grace Covenant Church in Little Falls on Wednesday nights at 6:30 p.m. starting Sept. 10. This course will help participants recognize the unique personality and place of each family member, learn communication skills to deal with ex-spouses, adjust expectations and overcome some of the pitfalls common to stepfamilies.

Faith and Freedom Festival
PINE RIVER - There will be a Faith and Freedom Festival from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 8-10 at the Cass County Fairgrounds in Pine River. Roger Wilson, National Evangelist with the Christian Motorcyclists Association will speak and three bands will be performing each night. The Red Letter Band will perform on Sept. 8. Band 371 will perform on Sept. 9 and Sept. 10 will be a youth focus night featuring the band Silverline. This event is sponsored by local churches and the CMA. Admission is free. Good News Preschool to begin its 25th year
NISSWA - The Good News Preschool in Nisswa is having an open house and registration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. This year marks the 25th year for the preschool. More than 800 children have attended the school since it began in 1983.
The school is located next door to the Nisswa Elementary School in The Journey Church building once home to the Nisswa Community Church built in 1927. Sue Pederson is the school's founder and continues to be it's state licensed teacher.

Homemade chicken supper
GARRISON- A homemade chicken supper at Light of the Cross Lutheran Church, two blocks west of Super Valu in Garrison, will be served from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 13 or until gone. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 5-12 years. Free for children under 5.
In His Name concert
In His Name will perform at 7 p.m. Sept. 5 at South Long Lake Presbyterian Church, located eight miles south of Brainerd on County Road 25, then west (right) 1/4 mile on Old Church Road or 20 miles north of Pierz on County Road 25, then west (left) 1/4 mile on Old Church Road.
Outdoor gospel concert
MALMO - An outdoor gospel concert with Jim Lee will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Malmo Evangelical Free Church.
Lee will make his 14th appearance at the outdoor concert and has appeared at the gospel bluegrass festival in Wisconsin and the showboat in Grand Rapids.
Bazaar at Holy Cross
HARDING - Holy Cross Church in Harding will have its bazaar Sunday with a chicken and ham dinner served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost: $8 for adults; children under 12, $3; and five and under are free.
Music will be by Dale Dahmen and the Polka Beats and Virg and the Eldorados.
Polka Mass will be at 10 a.m.
Service for meditation and healing
Beginning in May, First Lutheran Church started holding monthly services for meditation and healing, open to the community, on the first Thursday of each month. The next service is scheduled at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The service is for all who feel a need for any kind of healing in their lives - of body, mind and spirit.
