Dorothy Zupon

PEQUOT LAKES - Dorothy Zupon, age 80, of Pequot Lakes, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009. She was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Webster, Wis., to Walter and Marjorie Stringer. She married Gilbert Zupon on Sept. 13, 1963, in Fargo, N.D.

Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pine River. She loved to crochet and travel.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; daughters, Carol Thurston (Mike), Linda Tima (Tony), Debbie Martin (Roger), Patty Blake; brothers, Earl Stringer, Walter Stringer; sister, Betty Parrish; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Victor, Myron and Harold; grandson, Brian; and great-grandson, Jaiden.

Visitation for Dorothy will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at the church with Father Bruce Engen officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
