The Youth Wellness Task Force of Crow Wing County will host its second community meeting and workshop from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church in Brainerd, 424 Eighth St. S. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. The workshop is free. Lunch will be provided. A freewill offering will be taken to cover costs.
The Youth Wellness Task Force is a broad based collaboration of community members, including youths, parents and representatives from agencies serving youths such as schools, law enforcement, businesses, churches and nonprofits.
The workshop is an opportunity for youths and adults from Crow Wing County to come together to develop specific strategies to promote youth wellness. Everyone is welcome and invited to attend. State Rep. John Ward, DFL-Brainerd, and Brainerd Mayor James Wallin will be speaking at the event.
