Car enthusiasts who lusted for nearly 20 years after Nissan's Skyline GT-R sports car are going ga-ga over the new-generation GT-R that's arriving on U.S. soil.

She was born on Nov. 15, 1924, in Duluth, Minn., to Mary (Puhr) Giguere. She graduated from Brainerd High School in 1942 and then attended Brainerd Junior College. Thereafter, she practiced medical technology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and went on to earn a bachelor's degree at Winona State University where she met her future husband. On Aug. 12, 1950, she married Dr. Raymond John Jahimiak in La Crosse and they celebrated 57 years of marriage while raising six children.

I could not believe my eyes when I saw the coverage on the front page of the Dispatch regarding a regulation that would provide opt-out for health care workers with regards to abortion! This proposed regulation is to protect health care workers from being forced into providing services that violate their conscience?

Being relatively new to the area as a retiree, it's not difficult to see who's not moving past the strike at C-I. Good gracious, the legislators provide an opportunity to help fund an agreed upon district responsibility and the board member votes and speaks against it! This is an opportunity for all property taxpayers of the district to provide support for a financially strapped district. The new legislative act allows the full-time residents some tax relief. Someone needs to move on and do what is best for students.
