June A. Huber, 83, of Brainerd, formerly of Duluth, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Viewcrest Health Center in Duluth with her family at her side. She was born in Duluth on June 8, 1921, to Axel and Ellen (Wahlberg) Nyquist. June graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth. She married Otto Huber in 1958. June was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Brainerd and also belonged to the American Legion. She loved to knit, sew, quilt and bowl. June still holds the record for the highest bowling score by a woman in Brainerd at 272.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Wesley Nyquist.
June is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Otto; two brothers, Russell and Kenneth (Patricia), both of Duluth; sister-in-law Jackie Nyquist, of Duluth; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for June will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, 2004, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. The family will greet friends one-half hour prior to the service.
Services are entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota, Duluth.
