MILACA -- The Little Falls girls' cross country team won the Milaca Invitational Monday while the Flyer boys finished second.
Freshman Zach Solinger of Pierz, competing in his first varsity meet, finished third in 17:50.
The Flyers' Becky Anderson was sixth in the girls' race at 16:58. Jonathan Stoltman was eighth in the boys' race at 18:10.

S-M girls second,
boys third at Jamestown
JAMESTOWN N.D. --The Staples-Motley Cardinal girls' cross country team was second and the Cardinals boys were third Saturday at the Jamestown Invitational.
The Cardinal girls had a team score of 45 points and were paced by Brittany Brenny who finished third in a time of 15:48. Hannah Landecker finished fifth in 15:58 and Liza Milless placed ninth in 16:27 for the Cardinals.
The S-M had 74 points and were led by Chad Brever who was sixth in 18:14 and Jacob Huebsch was seventh in 18:22.
"It was a fantastic meet for us, the girls especially really ran well," said S-M head coach Gene Mattila. "It was the most challenging course that I have ever seen."
