McGREGOR -- Dick C. Sherrick, 72, McGregor, died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2001, at home.
He was born Sept. 16, 1928, in St. Paul to Burt and Clara (Richter) Sherrick. He graduated from Monroe High School in St. Paul. He married Shirle A. Kobilka on June 23, 1968. They moved to McGregor in 1972. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church and was a board member of the Lakes and Pines organization. He was a former sales representative for Newman Manufacturing, an AEOA Cook at Maryhill Manor and owner of M and N Marine and Sherrick Distributing.
Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Kathleen Shemon, McGregor and Mendota Heights; Kim Morrissey, Aitkin, Dawn Kennedy, White Bear Lake, Diane Behr, Forest Lake, Jan Hansen, Centuria, Wis., and Gail Sherrick, Maplewood; six sons, Douglas Huspek, McGregor, Larry Huspek, McGregor, Anthony Huspek, McGregor, Mike Morrissey, Saginaw, Gary Sherrick, Lino Lakes, and Dean Sherrick, Andover; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Sherrick, St. Paul.
His brother, Bob; a sister, Ruth Brothen; and his parents died earlier.
Services will be noon Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor with Father John Fleischacker officiating. Burial will be Pine Needle Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the McGregor Funeral Home in McGregor and an hour before services Thursday at the church.
