LAKESHORE -- Lloyd "Sonny" Anderson, 67, Lakeshore, died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at home, of cancer.
He was born Aug. 14, 1933, in Kasson to Leslie and Agnes (Beaver) Anderson. After graduation from Kasson High School, he served in the Navy. After his discharge, he graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration. He married Ingrid Tolfors on June 18, 1960, in Minneapolis. For the next 10 years they lived in the Canal Zone where he was a labor relation management specialist for the Panama Canal Co. In 1970, he and his wife returned to Minnesota to build the Swedish Timber House on the west shore of Gull Lake, a business they operated together for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Agnes Anderson, Kasson; and a sister, Phyllis Purves, Rochester.
His father, a sister, and a brother, died earlier.
Services will be 7 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter. Memorials are preferred to St. Joseph Foundation and Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
