FLOODWOOD -- Mae M. Poster, age 91, of Floodwood, Minn., died Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at Guardian Angels Health Center in Hibbing, Minn. She was a first generation American born of Swedish immigrant parents, Christian and Hannah (Larson) Pearson. Mae spent most of her life in Mille Lacs and Crow Wing Counties and loved the farms she lived on, the animals and woodlands around her in which she spent as much time as could be found. She was a member of the American Legion and the VFW and worked for many years at the Potlatch Paper Mill in Brainerd and retired from there after nearly 18 years of employment.
Mae was preceded in death by her daughter, Bea Roberts Newman; and three grandchildren, Tom Majerus, Mark Majerus and Craig Faulkner. She is survived by her children, Virg (Dora) Faulkner, of McGregor, Doris Persson, of Hopkins, Earl (Jill) Faulkner, of Edina, Philip Poster, of Denver, Terry (Mark) Hougen, of Mounds View, and Susan (Bob) Johnston, of Floodwood; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
It is Mae's wish that there will be neither visitation nor funeral service and that memorials may be sent to the Ronald McDonald House, 621 Oak Street Southeast, Minneapolis, MN 55414-2987.
Her love had no boundaries and she will be missed by so many.
