Jeanne M. Kain
Jeanne Mary (Rogers) Kain, age 87, of Brainerd, died on Aug. 22, 2009, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
She was born on June 9, 1922, in Winona to Charles and Mary (O'Connor) Buril. She married her first husband Harry William Rogers on Aug. 30, 1941, in St. Paul and her second husband William Earl Kain on June 1, 1974, in Deerwood. Jeanne was a former member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in St. Paul and was a past president of the PTA at St. Cecilia's School. She was a former member of Our Lady of Fatima, Garrison, and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Deerwood. She was a senior volunteer in Brainerd and was involved in the mentoring program for young mothers.

She is survived by seven sons, Kenneth (Judy) Rogers, of West St. Paul, Richard (Josephine ) Rogers, of South St. Paul, Joseph (Marilou) Rogers, of Peach Tree, Ga., Michael (Julie) Rogers, of Menahga, James (Ann) Rogers, of Lakeville, Thomas Rogers, of Shakopee, and Arthur (Sherie) Rogers, of Northfield; three daughters, Kathleen Kawalek, of Mora, Cecilia "CeCe" (Ken) Snook, of Crosby, Mary (Kim) Rardin, of Brainerd; two stepdaughters, Elaine Kain, of Baxter, Elizabeth Weedmark, of Alaska; one stepson, Earl Kain, of Alaska; 22 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Olga Buril; first husband, Harry Rogers in 1966; and William Kain in 1998; grandson, Matthew Kenneth Snook; son-in-law, David Kawalek; stepdaughter, Elise Hruby; two brothers, John and Robert Buril.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. on Sunday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Garrison. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Sunday one hour prior to the services at church.
