Leo Marchel defeated Bud Henderson 5-4 to take the championship flight honors in the Brainerd Country Club Golf Tournament. In the women's championship flight, Darlene Palmer out dueled Gayle Luischmann.

Upwords from 50 to 70 house trailers and their occupants are converging on the Crosby Tourist Park this weekend as the Wally Byam Caravan members hold a rally and convention.

The lights are on in Brainerd. Traffic lights that is. Brainerd traffic was governed by stop and go signals at the intersections of Eighth and Washington and Sixth and Laurel last night.
