VOX POP
Regarding the article about the animal abuse advertisement, animals can't speak for themselves and don't deserve or ask for abuse. People can speak up and ask for help. I've never seen so many people complain about so many things until I moved to Brainerd. Get yourself a hobby or find another job. How pathetic are you that you don't have a heart for animals? Since when did you decide that other people can't have an opinion or have a heart for something other than themselves? It was an advertisement. Get over it.

Debate should be based on real information
We live in the Brainerd lakes area community and I'm proud to live here. I wasn't born here, but I moved here from St. Cloud about 16 years ago because of the resources and the sense of community I found to be appealing to me. Others who continue to move here must feel similarly because they continue to move here in large numbers.

OUR OPINION: Messaging
Ah, the good ol' days. Remember how if you wanted to talk to a friend you sought your parents' permission to make a call on a dial telephone? (Someone please explain a dial telephone to today's generation.) Or if you were brave and sneaky you passed a note on a folded piece of paper to a classmate?
