Ode to A City Planner

Sung to the tune of "Dixie"

Oh, I wish I was in the land of Cushing,

Another supercenter I could be pushing

Run away, run away, run away from shoreline management rules.

Oh, I wish I was in Cushing, hooray, hooray.

No parking lots, no storm water runoff in Cushing, hooray.

Away, away, I'll be away from traffic in Cushing.

No lost middle-class wages, no independent owner blues in Cushing.

In Cushing land, I'll take my stand, no trees will be felled in Cushing.

Run away, run away, I'll run away out west to Cushing.

Holman comments

I can't believe (Todd) Holman will be working for the Nature Conservancy. He showed his lack of regard for our environment by not recommending an Environmental Impact Statement on the superstore. He has repeatedly shown his disregard for area wetlands and lakes and instead has supported development that harms our environment.
