STAPLES -- Theresa Mary Adamietz, 76, Staples, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Lakewood Pines.
She was born Sept. 28, 1925, near Clarissa to Adam and Mary (Drayna) Kilanowski. She attended school in Browerville and Clarissa. She married Francis Adamietz on Aug. 16, 1945, in Browerville. They ran a dairy farm in Moran Township, south of Staples. She was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, its ladies groups, and was active in the Farmers Union and local Ag groups.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Adamietz, Henning, Rick Adamietz, Staples, and Ron Adamietz, Cushing; five daughters, Marge Tepley, Motley, Janet Shea, Monticello, Rita Esterl, Savage, Bonnie Milbrandt, Cottage Grove, and Carol Adamietz, Savage; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a brother, Ed Kilanowski, Sauk Centre.
Her husband, an infant son, four brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Moran Township with Father Eugene Meemken officiating. Burial will be in the St. Isidore's Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples, with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., and from 10 a.m. until services Wednesday at the church.
