MAPLEWOOD (AP) -- 3M Co. on Friday announced the purchase from Optical Coating Laboratory Inc. of the GlareGuard and GlareDefender business that makes anti-glare filters as accessories for computers.
Computer filters provide comfort for computer users by improving contrast and reducing glare to cut the risk of eye fatigue, eyestrain and glare-related headaches.
Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co., based in Maplewood, plans to market the anti-glare filter products worldwide under the GlareGuard and GlareDefender trademarks.
