MORA - Nicole Beneke and Kaija Fossum each went 3-0 in singles and the Aitkin Gobblers didn't drop a doubles match on their way to three victories in the Mora quadrangular Monday.
Aitkin defeated St. Cloud Cathedral 5-2, Big Lake 7-0 and Mora 6-1 to start the season.
"We lost some good players, but we feel we have a lot of depth this year and that's going to serve us well," said Aitkin head coach Cindy Walz.

PINE CITY - Mikayla Wing won the No. 4 singles title and the No. 1 doubles team of Caitlin Robinson-Emma Koskiniemi was the doubles champion as the Staples-Motley Cardinals finished tied for second in the Pine City tournament Monday.
The Cardinals' No. 3 doubles team of Kelly Hagenson-Annie Gillespie-Katie Stone took second.
At Madison, Wis., last weekend the Cardinals finished sixth in an 8-team individual tournament, won by Edina and St. Joseph, Mo.
