Cornell L. Maust

Cornell LeRoy Maust, 64, Brainerd, passed away at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009. He was born Aug. 13, 1945, in Brainerd, Minn., to Nevan and Marie Maust. He was employed as a painter in Arizona before moving back to Brainerd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nevan and Marie; brother, Darwin; son, LeRoy; and twin daughters.

He is survived by sons, Troy and Nevan, in Arizona; six grandchildren; brothers, Wesley (Eileen), Pillager, and Clement (Mary), Merrifield; sister, Ardyce (Forrest) Stephan, Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of Cornell's relatives and friends will be held on Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.

Arrangements are with the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Brainerd.
