Caroline L. Orn

CROSBY - Caroline Louise Orn, age 85, of Crosby, died on Aug. 22, 2009, at her residence. She was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Cloquet to Ludvig and Karen (Kvamme) Johnson. She was a UMD alumnus with a bachelor of science degree in music and elementary education. Her teaching career spanned 25 years serving Biwabik, Rochester and Crosby-Ironton School Districts. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Affiliated with the church choir, Sunday school program and the Miriam Circle.

She is survived by one son, Steven (Kathy) Orn, of Parkersburg, W. Va.; one daughter, Susan (Brad) Fradet, of Moorhead; six grandchildren, Jacob (Kathileen) Orn, Matthew (Jacqueline) Orn, Kara Fradet, Kristen Orn, Megan Fradet and Peter Orn; sister-in-law, JoAnn Morgan, of Brainerd.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; two brothers, Olav and Ralph Johnson; two sisters, Raghild Harmala and Alice Fulton.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.

Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
