After operating nearly three months under last year's contract, the Brainerd Police Department has elected a new bargaining agent. The Brainerd Patrolmen's Association has ousted the current agent, the Brainerd Policemen's Association.

The Brainerd Braves went into extra innings at Little Falls to defeat Randall 9-8 and win the Region 8B championship. Don Sorenson got credit for the win after relieving Bruce McComas in the third and striking out six.

Television is in Brainerd and is apparently here to stay. Burton's, which a quarter century ago installed the first radios in the city, now claims the first television unit. On display at the store, Bud Burton says it will pick up KSTP and WTCN with its 60-foot antenna.

Various teams of the Chamber of Commerce hotel committee are now conferring for the final solicitation for stock subscriptions necessary to finance the city's share in the Brainerd-pine Beach Hotel to be built on lower Gull Lake.

Gussie Small went to Pequot and expects to leave there tomorrow to bring his launch to this city, coming through the lakes and Gull and Crow Wing Rivers to the Mississippi River, then up that to this city.
