Madalin R. Wilding

NEW HOPE - Madalin R. Wilding, age 92, of New Hope, formerly of Deerwood, died Aug. 24, 2008, at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

She was born on Aug. 29, 1915, in Albany, Minn., to Charles and Margaret (Winter) Hofmann. She was former owner of Crosby Floral in the late 1950s and continued to work as a florist there until into her 80s. She was a former member of the Myrin-James American Legion Post Auxiliary 443 of Ironton, St. Joseph's Catholic Church and attended St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Brooklyn Center.

She is survived by son Greg (Jan) Wilding of Crosby; one daughter, Diane (Donald) Roggenbauer of Maple Grove; two sisters, Ruth Virant of Gilbert and Marg Reagan of Gilbert and Sun Lakes, Ariz.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by Willard in 1989; her parents; three brothers, Ralph, Marvin and Dennis Hofmann; and three sisters, Gen Wolf, Loretta Lundgren and Ethel Vierzba.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Crosby. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. Friends may call on Thursday one hour prior to the services at the church.

Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
