Twy Japke

STAPLES -- Twy Japke, 86, of Staples, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at Lakewood Health System Care Center, Staples. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, at Staples Congregational Church with Pastor Muriel Hachfeld officiating. Visitation will be at the Brenny Funeral Home, Staples, on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment is in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Staples.

She is survived by her stepson, Clyde (Diane) Japke, of Staples; stepdaughter, Dianne Leslie, of Detroit Lakes, Minn.; six grandchildren, Ward (Carol) Leslie, Jenny (Kurt) Lugo, Mark (Monica) Leslie, Adele (Vern) Schnathorst, John (Yasmin) Leslie, and Richard (Stephanie) Japke; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald (Ruth) Hand.

Twy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nels; and son-in-law, Roger Leslie.
