Schectman-Stassen win Par 3

NISSWA - Grand View Lodge's Woods and Marsh nines didn't yield any holes-in-one, but there were still plenty of winners Sunday in the 10th $200,000 Par 3 Championship at The Pines in Nisswa.

Winning the gross two-person best ball with a 3-under was Andy Schectman-Jeff Stassen. Second went to Steve and Thomas Stoxen. Scott Pedersen-Dave Stark finished third. Kim Larson-Scott Lindgren placed fourth and Fred Boos-Rob Birkeland placed fifth.

With a birdie on hole five of the Marsh Dean Renneke-Scott Hartnell picked up the only skin of the tournament.

Proceeds of the Par 3 championship go toward the Lakes Area Food Shelf and Newspapers in Education.
