Talent contest winners advance to State Fair

The Amateur Talent Contest was held Aug. 3 at the Crow Wing County Fair. Winners were:

Pre-teen division (12 and younger):

First place: Hayley Koop.

Second place: Anja Smith.

Third place: Savannah Cole.

Teen division (ages 13-18):

First place: Mitchell Dallman.

Second place: Amber Rose Joel.

Third place: Jade Hagberg.

Open division (all ages):

First place: Kelly Crocker.

Second place (tie): Jennifer Perez and Jillian Rinde.

The first-place winners in each division advanced to the State Fair Amateur Talent Contest. They will perform at the following times at the fairgrounds in St. Paul:

Koop (pre-teen), 7 p.m. Thursday.

Dallman (teen), 7 p.m. Friday.

Crocker (open), 7 p.m. Wednesday.
