MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The former city council member who was convicted of extortion told investigators he used marijuana while he was on the council, according to a report.
Citing federal documents, WCCO-TV reported Wednesday that Brian Herron admitted to "recent marijuana use" three days before he confessed to taking $10,000 from Selwin Ortega, who owns 10 supermarkets in Minneapolis.
Herron resigned in July after pleading guilty to extortion.
