Sara Kliest, Zac Denny and Tyler Harris won titles at the Brainerd Downhill Drags Soap Box Derby races Saturday in the Brainerd Area Civic Center parking lot.
Kliest edged Ben Wasson in the 7-8-year-old division. Kliest won all three of her races while Wasson's only losses were to Kliest. Kelli Fletcher defeated Adam Kliest for the consolation title.
Denny raced to the 9-10-year-old title by defeating Danny Rittmiller. Denny went through the brackets undefeated while Rittmiller's only losses came against Denny. Jordan Kliest raced past Abby Schreier for the consolation title.
Harris swept Chris Busacker to win the 11-12-year-old championship.
The final Soap Box Derby race of the season will be Sept. 22 in the civic center parking lot. Entry fee is $5. Participants may register at the Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department office located in Lum Park during regular business hours.
Loaner cars are available for drivers in each age division.
JV doubles teams win
The Brainerd Warrior doubles teams of Jinna Toft-Kylee Kunde, Alese Waters-Courtney Tussler and Sam Kletscher-Amber Arnoldy picked up wins Tuesday against the Rocori Spartans in girls' tennis.
