In his latest adventure to raise funds for Kinship Partners, Gary Walters and his son, Jackson, are Rollerblading to Washington, D.C.
Check out his progress through Wednesday: The Walters made good time on county roads after leaving Madison, Wis., only stopping after the first 30 miles to do an interview. Several more hills made Gary nervous, but no crashes occurred.
Miles traveled: 62 miles.
Total miles traveled: 386 miles.
Total funds raised: $6,242 in pledges.
Daily destination reached: Southwest of Janesville, Wis.
Mile musings: "Not sure about Thursday. Storms are predicted, and that would be OK with me. I am beat and need some rest. Yes, I should have trained more. But I say that every time we do something crazy."
