Thank you "fly-by-night tree trimmers" for a job well done. I called two local companies for bids and luckily you guys stopped by. I saved more than $1,200 dollars. Too bad for my neighbors who had those big fancy local trucks contract with you. My yard is cleaned up. Yours is not. I sure hope they come back.
If you were so concerned
In response to the letter about the Pillager Center, does the writer understand that the fair donated the use of the land to build the Community Center. Otherwise the community wouldn't have had a site to build on? If this person was so concerned about this building being put to the right use then why didn't they gain support in the "community" and have it built on some other land and then it could've had other caretakers. It's easier to criticize and disparage the people who did step forward and take charge of the situation and gave it a home.
Does anyone care?
One day I saw an advertisement on TV that said, "Every day animals are abused, beaten and neglected. Will you be an angel and give these poor creatures a second chance?" Then I saw another ad saying, "Dogs are people, too." Since when? What about all the children and women who are abused, beaten, neglected and killed. Does anyone care about them? God help us please. Where are their angels?
Quit buying junk
When are Americans going to be smart enough to quit buying Chinese junk? It will not kill you if you don't own it but it may well kill you if you do. Quit buying this junk.
Can't believe it
I'm looking at your Sunday paper and I can't believe that the people that we have in our community with problems and medical care that they need that we could spend the money to bring one person over from Africa to get treatment in our facilities in the Brainerd area. I think someone ought to look into something like that.
