Scott LeDoux and Ken Norton fought to a draw in their nationally-televised fight yesterday - an anti-climactic finish to a fight that deserved more than a tie. And they did it in a 20-foot ring from Brainerd that Tom Herron hauled to the Met Center for the fight.

The Baxter School Board last night voted by a 4-2 margin to table a motion calling for consolidation with Brainerd, but a group of Baxter residents submitted a petition to the county auditor seeking a plat that would bring about the merger.

The Matt Hill property, located at the corner of Oak and Nineteenth streets, has recently been sold to Peter Hanson of Paynesville. This is one of the very substantial large houses of southeast Brainerd, having been built by the late J.C. Barber of Chicago.

A postal from C.A. Nelson, letter carrier at the post office, brings news that he was to leave Copenhagen, Denmark, with his family for Norway on August 12. Mr. Nelson has been spending the last three months at the home of his birth.
