Mary Lienke needed just 16 putts to navigate the Pines at Grand View Lodge's Lakes Course Aug. 12 and win the Women's Golf Outing low putts contest.

Arla Johnson and Julie Hofius tied for second with 17 putts. Ellen Ogg recorded a chip-in. Longest putt winners were Marty Peterson and Hofius.

On Grand View Lodge's Garden Course, Bonnie Person needed 11 putts to win the same event. Thalia Duffield carded 13 putts for second place and Arlene Hart was third with 15.

Longest putt winners on the Garden Course were Barb Prigge, Linda Gronholz and Joanie Macko (twice).

The next women's outing is Aug. 26 and Sept. 2 at the Garden and Pines courses.

Call the Pines' pro shop at 963-0001 by noon Monday to register.

Birch Bay results

Doug Agre of Nisswa and Donna Larson of Pillager were winners of Birch Bay's couples social golf two-person, best-ball scramble event Aug. 11.

Sue Agre of Nisswa won the longest drive on hole 8.

Arlene Zaiser had the closest shot in two on hole six to win the Birch Bay women's social event Aug. 12.

Barb Elmquist of Nisswa and Doris Gruszka of Pillager teamed to win the two-person scotch doubles event at Birch Bay's morning women's social golf mixer Aug. 14.

Couples play social golf 4 p.m. Sundays through Aug. 31. All couples are welcome. Call Kathy at 963-4488 to sign up for women's social golf or the fall luncheon Aug. 27.
