Looking for the big sister she never had

Allison joined our list of waiting children just a couple of weeks ago. She will be 11 soon and will attend Forestview in the fall.

Last year was not a good year for her in school and she is looking forward to a new start. She lives with her mom, stepdad and older brother but has wanted a big sister all her life, and she hopes that Kinship will provide someone to fill that role.

She enjoys a wide range of interests, including in-line skating, bowling, swimming, bike riding, crafts, singing, the Internet, sleepovers and nature. She would like to try canoeing, figure skating, hunting and quilting, and would especially love to go horseback riding with her new partner.

Allison describes herself as shy at first, fun, loves sweets, stubborn, sometimes selfish, sometimes caring, and sensitive. Music, science and art are her favorite subjects in school and pizza and spaghetti are her favorite foods. When she grows up, she wants to be a reporter or a pilot or be in a band. According to Allison, the perfect adult partner would be a younger woman with no kids who is fun, outgoing and athletic - the big sister she never had.

When you meet Allison, you will see a young girl who is cute, energetic, and friendly but needs a positive role model in her life to help her make good choices and teach her to take responsibility for the choices she makes.
