Crow Wing County sheriff's investigators are asking for the public's help in locating the suspect of a portable methamphetamine lab that Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division officers seized Monday.
About 1 p.m. officers from the LADID seized a portable methamphetamine lab in a parked vehicle in an alley behind a residence on Third Avenue Northeast in Brainerd. A large amount of methamphetamine was seized in the investigation, the sheriff's department reported. The lab was dismantled by LADID and the Brainerd Fire Department assisted with the disposal of hazardous materials taken from the lab.
The suspect in the case, a 34-year-old man, fled from the scene and was at large today and believed to be in the Brainerd area. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 160 pounds, with long, brown hair and possible facial hair.
The man also is a suspect in a mobile methamphetamine lab that was seized July 23.
The Dispatch declined to name the suspect until an arrest warrant is filed.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department at (218) 829-4749.
