BAGRAM, Afghanistan (AP) -- Two U.S. Special Operations soldiers were wounded while on an intelligence gathering operation in southern Afghanistan, a military spokesman said Monday.
One soldier was shot in the calf, the other in the upper thigh in the attack early Sunday, said Col. Roger King at Bagram air base, the U.S. military headquarters in Afghanistan. The soldiers were treated in Bagram until their conditions were stable, then flown to Germany for further treatment.
The names of the soldiers were withheld.
