Texas shortstop Alex Rodriguez hit two more home runs Sunday night, giving him five in two games to tie a major league record, and the Rangers beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-7.
Rodriguez homered three times Saturday and once Friday against Toronto to give him and AL record-tying six homers in three games. He has a major league-leading 44 homers, one more than Sammy Sosa.
With six homers over three games, Rodriguez matched the AL record set by Tony Lazzeri of the New York Yankees (1936), Gus Zernial of the Philadelphia Athletics (1951) and Manny Ramirez of the Cleveland Indians (1998).
