Senior Celebration II
It's coming up next month in Walker
WALKER - Senior Celebration II, a fun and informative event for area seniors, will be held Sept. 15th at Hope Lutheran Church in Walker.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon. The theme of Healthy, Wealthy and Wise proposes to focus on financial, legal and physical health in order to enjoy life to the fullest. Speakers include Jo Bowman, a registered nurse from Fergus Falls with a routine on physical health; a representative from Bank Forward will speak about financial health; and Norm Hulin of Legal Aid of Brainerd will discuss being wise about your legal affairs.
In between the sessions, participants can visit approximately 25 resource exhibits on a wide range of topics. There also will be cholesterol and blood pressure checks, Bone Builders and door prizes. Morning refreshments will be provided.
There is no cost for the event and no pre-registration is needed, Last year's event drew more than 80 people.
The Senior Celebration is sponsored by a collaborative group of Cass County senior providers including Cass County Health, Human and Veterans Services, Lutheran Social Services, Central Minnesota Council on Aging, Faith in Action for Cass County, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Kitchigami Library Senior Outreach Program and Hackensack Senior Class.
