Laurence J. Dobmeier, resident of Brainerd, Minn., died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003, in Brainerd.
He was born Oct. 8, 1915, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was a resident of the Brainerd area for the past 20 years. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Brainerd.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Pat; sisters Emma Karnik of St. Joseph, Minn., and Margaret Kozubik of Renville, Minn.; brothers, Jim Dobmeier of Olivia, Minn., Aloysius Dobmeier of Omaha, Neb., and Leo Dobmeier of Kissimmee, Fla.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Olivia, Minn., with Father Merle Monnenis officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors. Visitation at the Dirks-Blem Funeral Home in Olivia on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Visitation at the Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
