Where in the world is Gary?

In his latest adventure to raise funds for Kinship Partners, Gary Walters and his son, Jackson, are rollerblading to Washington, D.C.

His progress through Saturday: Leaving from Anoka, Walters traveled through the metro Saturday. He met with Kinship of Greater Minnesota representatives at Lake Calhoun, did a couple of media interviews and met with Jean and Jim Kraft of the Brainerd area. He was led out of the metro to Farmington by Ken Potts, who showed the Walters several metro trails to use. He only fell two times Saturday.

Miles traveled: 54 miles on Saturday.

Total miles traveled: 168 miles.

Daily destination reached: Red Wing.

Mile musings: "I was at times a bit shaky on the curb cuts at each intersection and I assume some people at the various lights had a chuckle watching my arms at times flap trying to get my balance. Jackson had no issues and many times did stunts on and off of curbs."
