ANOKA -- St. Cloud Cathedral in Class A and Lakeville in Class AA have won the Minnesota State High School League's inaugural Challenge Cup championship.
Breck School of Golden Valley, Staples-Motley, Perham and Hermantown rounded out the top five in Class A.
Edina, Eden Prairie, Apple Valley and Woodbury did the same in Class AA.
Two hundred-thirteen schools scored points in the Challenge Cup in Class A and 121 in Class AA.
The program, sponsored by the league and Wells Fargo, rewards schools with the most points earned through their success in section and state fine arts and athletic tournaments.
