PIERZ - Four mobile homes were declared uninhabitable after Tuesday's wind and hail storm pelted Pierz Mobile Home Park with quarter-size to golf ball-size hail.
City Administrator Mike DeRosia said the city's building officials inspected the homes and deemed they shouldn't be occupied. He said the evacuations affected 10 to 15 people. The displaced persons, he said, were put up in a motel by the Red Cross.
DeRosia said representatives of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety who were involved with Homeland Security were on the scene and awaiting Red Cross assessments.
