Herbert Davis

MINERAL WELLS, Texas -- Herbert Davis, 68, Mineral Wells, Texas, died Monday, Aug. 14, 2000, in Mineral Wells, Texas.

He was born June 29, 1932, in Pine River to Vaughn and Betty Davis. He married Mary Kaye Shamp on Nov. 30, 1957, in Pine River. He lived in Mineral Wells all of his life. He was an Air Force fighter pilot during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a real estate broker with Century 21 in Mineral Wells and was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brennan Vaughn, Austin, Texas; a daughter, Mary Michels, Garner, Texas; a grandchild; a sister, Leatrice Sexton, Cambridge, Neb.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Ponto Lake Cemetery of Pine River.
