HACKENSACK -- Deep Portage Conservation Reserve is looking ahead to fall. Winter staff members will arrive soon as the change of seasons brings different activities to the reserve.
Schools will become active residents. Rosemount School will spend four days at Deep Portage this month. September schools registered are Breck, Rockford, Nisswa, Montevideo, St. Michael, Cuyuna Range and Eagle Point.
A new camping season will be set up for next year. Camps this year included Aquatics, Fishing, Forkhorn (deer hunting), Upland Bird and Young Women in Science.
The brochures for these camps will be available after the first of the year.
