Eva J. Wickstrom

FIFTY LAKES - Eva Jean Wickstrom, 90, of Fifty Lakes, died July 18, 2009, at Cuyuna Medical Center in Crosby, Minn. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake with Pastor Marlys Korman officiating.

Eva was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of William and Eva Mae (Dickson) Thatcher. She was united in marriage to Carl Wickstrom. For the past 38 years they lived on East Fox Lake. Eva was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was an active member and treasurer of Fifty Lakes Sportsman Club for more than 20 years. She also was the treasurer and a member of Helping Hands. Eva was a great cook and hostess and enjoyed entertaining. She liked to travel. To Eva, family was most important.

Eva will be missed by her husband, Carl; her children, Patricia (Douglas) Williams and Robert L. (Jan) Wickstrom; her grandchildren, Judy, Robb, Greg, Daniel and Kelley; her great-granddaughter, Chelsea; and her great-great-grandson, Aidyn. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
