An estimated 45 men and women filled with dreams of getting rich quick met in a Brainerd basement to play "the Pyramid Game." Last night law officers raided one such "Pyramid" meeting, confiscating the game board and issued restraining orders.

Brainerd employment showed a net increase of 25 in July and has apparently leveled off for the season. The total number of employed stands at 6,323 compared to 5,983 in July of a year ago.

Who ordered the installation of a water cooler in City Hall? At last night's City Council meeting this could not be answered, so at Finance Chairman George Krueger's request the bill for over $100 was not paid.

Camp Ripley, 23 miles south of Brainerd will be developed into one of the nation's best military training centers when a $100,000 WPA project approved today at Washington is completed.

Dark since the windstorm of June 8, the new Park Theater will reopen September 1, greatly improved in appearance and offering patrons a bill of four acts of Western circuit vaudeville and pictures.

More improvements have been and are going on in Brainerd this summer than in any city in Minnesota and from the inquiries being received from people desiring business locations it would seem that the fact has been well established.
