Sold out rib fest will help keep senior center thriving

The third annual Herb and Mike's Rib Fest Dinner scheduled Friday at the Lakes Area Senior Activity Center in Brainerd has been sold out.

DeAnn Barry, senior center director, said she is pleased and thankful to the community for their support. Ticket sales from the dinner will help the center with its overall operations.

Barry, who said people have approached her about the center's financial concerns, said the center's financial status is healthy and the monies from the dinner will "just add to that."
