Kathleen V. Buehler, age 84, resident of Daggett Brook Township, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at home.
Kathleen Buehler was born April 23, 1920, in Daggett Brook Township, the first daughter of Francis Preston and Martha (Hohensee) Caughey. Kathleen attended country school and graduated from Washington High School, Brainerd, in 1938. She began work at the Crow Wing County auditor's office in 1929 and served as county auditor for two of the 20 years she was employed. She was a homemaker until her death.
Kathleen was united in marriage to Milo Buehler on Jan. 29, 1955, at Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
Kathleen was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1246, Round Robin Garden Club and long-time appointed fire warden. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, antique plate collecting, planning picnics and other family gatherings.
Kathleen is survived by her husband of 50 years; brothers, Norman (Betty) Caughey, Francis (Evelyn) Caughey, Bill (Alice) Caughey; sisters, Marion Siegel and Bonnie (Lynn) Olson and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene, sisters Majorie Dwyer, Lois Siegel and three infant siblings.
Services will be held on Aug. 17, 2004, at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Union Church south of Brainerd. Visitation will be held Aug. 16, 2004 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
