The Central Lakes College Alumni Association and Friends held its first meeting recently, discussing its mission and activities.
Discussion included the Raider Athletic Hall of Fame (in conjunction with the CLC Athletic Department) and a Distinguished Hall of Fame.
CLC Foundation Board Member John Pecarich, chair, suggested two committees begin working on specific elements to move the association forward. They are the Events Committee and the Mailing Committee.
Joining Pecarich on the Events Committee are Foundation Director Diane Scearcy, Ann Silgen in Alumni Relations, Joe Plut, Kyle Amundson, Jean Mershon, and Joan Jenkins.
The Events Committee will meet Sept. 1 to investigate ways to promote events for a positive image, recognition of deserving individuals, and widen the circle of influence for this fundraising arm of the CLC Foundation.
The Mailing Committee includes Al Cibuzar, Dick and Marilyn Ashmun, Scearcy, and Silgen. This group was to meet Aug. 18 at the Brainerd campus.
